Association President Callum Mackintosh, Vice President John Sibbald and our Hole in One sponsor Alan Rose of WM Rose and Sons saw the teams off at the first with a little uisge beatha before rushing along to the fifth hole, a 178yard Par3 to catch the teams arriving for the chance to win a new Wacker Neuson EZ80 from WM Rose.
First team to arrive at the fifth was Jarvie plant, David Jarvie himself with a brilliant drive landing just 9ft short of the hole. AB2K's first team was next, landing a stunning drive just 2.5ft from the hole which was to become the closest attempt on the new 8t machine of the day.
All was not lost after the fifth though, WM Rose had kindly sponsored three further Hole in One's with the chance to bag a three night holiday in Portugal, a two night Golf Trip for 4 to Marriott Forest of Arden and finally a TaylorMade SIM2 MaxiDriver!
Teams encountered a shower of rain whilst on the back nine but persevered in good spirit knowing there was still plenty to play for besides the coveted John Blackwood Trophy.
